Terms of Use
Last updated: 18 June 2026
These terms govern use of the OwnBlock homeowner, block manager, supplier and administration services. By creating or using an account, you agree to use OwnBlock lawfully and in accordance with these terms.
Accounts and Access
You must provide accurate information, protect your password and access codes, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. Access is limited to the block, unit, business or administrative role assigned to your account.
User Responsibilities
You must use messaging and community features respectfully. You must not upload unlawful, abusive, discriminatory, threatening, infringing, fraudulent or misleading content; attempt to access another account; introduce malicious software; or misuse contact information obtained through OwnBlock.
Supplier Services
Supplier quotes and jobs concern real-world services arranged between users and suppliers. Unless OwnBlock expressly agrees otherwise in writing, suppliers are independent businesses responsible for their qualifications, insurance, pricing, work, taxes and legal obligations. Users should check quotes and credentials before instructing work.
Property and Emergency Information
OwnBlock is an administrative and communication tool, not an emergency service. For immediate danger call the emergency services. For urgent building incidents use the emergency arrangements supplied by your block manager.
AI Assistance
AI formatting may improve wording or classify a request, but it can make mistakes. You remain responsible for reviewing information before sending it and for any decisions made from it.
Content Moderation
Users can report content and block other users. We may review, restrict or remove content and may suspend accounts to protect users, comply with law or enforce these terms.
Availability and Changes
We work to keep OwnBlock reliable but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. Features may change for security, legal or operational reasons. We will give reasonable notice where a material change affects active users.
Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that, OwnBlock is not responsible for losses caused by inaccurate user content, supplier performance, unauthorised account use resulting from a user's failure to protect credentials, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Ending Use
You may stop using OwnBlock and request account deletion at any time. We may restrict or end access where necessary for security, non-payment under a separate business agreement, serious misuse or legal compliance.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply where you live.
